Head Guide

Ms. Hotannanavara was born and raised in Bangalore, India where she attended a Montessori school from Primary through High School. After high school, she earned a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering and continued her service in this field for a couple of years. However, it was during her volunteer work with underprivileged children at an NGO where she realized her love for children and passion for teaching. She decided to move to San Diego to continue her journey in Montessori and received her Primary AMI diploma from Montessori Institute of San Diego in May 2018.  It was during her training at MISD that she found her purpose in life and helped her to blossom into a self-aware young woman with a true sense of vocation.

When not at work, she enjoys taking long walks at the beach, trying new restaurants and exploring San Diego. She loves baking chocolate cakes, painting and making handmade cards. Ms. Hotannanavara is a trained Indian classical dancer (Bharatanatyam) since age 5 and is looking forward to introducing it to the children in the class. She is very excited to be working at Kinderhouse and relive her childhood experiences with joy and wisdom. She believes working with children is a gift and they continue to inspire and motivate her in life.
